This text is a thorough study of basic case analysis. Topics include work on evaluating symptoms, identifying maintaining and exciting causes, using Essence to find the remedy, the role of the acute, using nosodes. There is a study of the different levels of a case that appear in degeneration of the miasm and in family patterns. Examples of a least one case appear in each lesson whilst, at the end of each lesson, there is a study of an appropriate section of the Organon and a revision of basic skills such as selection of symptoms, creating a hierarchy, repertorisation. The basic skills section continues to look at observations and language use. There is an index to the use of philosophical concepts throughout the text. |

For self-help and minor ailments, it should help patients understand their treatment and enable lay prescribers more accurate application of homoeopathic philosophy. There is help with potency. For the practitioner there is some dialogue on different types of acute, including in relation to the constitutional case. As usual there are plenty of exercises for students in each section, also tables of comparison and a short repertory at the end of most sections to increase accuracy in the use of 24 remedies in a first aid kit. |
